Celebration of Life
Held on April 1, 2017 @ Chico Alliance Church
Tribute written by daughter, Janet Apeland
My Dad, Franklin Bradford Crosier, passed into the arms of his Savior, Jesus March 14, 2017. Dad was born January 15, 1923 in St. Edward, Nebraska to Ernest and Alice Crosier. In 1936, the family moved to Bremerton, settling at Lone Rock near Seabeck. Dad graduated from high school in 1941. He began working at Puget Sound Naval shipyard in the shop 17 where he met Naomi. They were married May 1, 1943. Dad was drafted into the Army/Air Force shortly thereafter, but World War II ended before he was deployed!
He returned home in 1946 and continued to be employed at PSNS. He moved Naomi and their newborn daughter, Janet, to the Lone Rock family home where his mom lived. They lived there 20 years raising four children, Janet, Jimmy, Sheree and Edward. They enjoyed boating, fishing, and swimming on the Hood Canal. Dad was active in the community coaching Pee Wees, volunteer fireman and a member of Lone Rock Chapel where he served in many ways. In 1966, Dad moved his family (Sheree and Ed) to a new home at Priddy Vista near Scenic Beach. They enjoyed beach walks, and many backyard barbecues.
In 1978 Dad retired from PSNS with over 35 years of employment. In the 1980s they began traveling in their trailer to Hemet, California during the winter months making many new friends.
The past nine years, Sheree has been living with mom and dad and caring for them. This made it possible for them to live in their home until God called them to their eternal home with Jesus. Thank you, Sheree, for your sacrifice of love for them and fulfilling their wishes.
Frank was preceded in death by Naomi, wife of 70 years; two brothers, Vern and Duane; and a great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Myers.
He is survived by four children, Janet Apeland (Ted), Jimmy Crosier (Victoria), Sheree Crosier and Ed Crosier; three grandchildren, Pamela Tormanen (Dan), Paulina Myers (Tim), Philip Apeland (Tammy Trew); and four great-grandchildren, Kyle, Aaron, Jacob Tormanen and Branden Myers.
