CHILDCARE IS NOW OPEN!
We have opening for all ages.

We have availability for all age groups, you may call the childcare office at (360) 377-0939 for information.

What to expect
Staff went through training the week prior to reopening to learn the safety precautions we will be following and to prepare for the new procedures.  Sign-in will be in the covered area outside the main childcare entrance (located in the lower parking lot by the playground).  There will be a temperature station where your child’s temperature will be taken before entry.  The guardian dropping off the child may also be asked a few questions regarding fever or contact with those affected with COVID-19.  Please be patient as we all adjust to the new routines.  Parents and Guardians are asked to remain outside the building to reduce the number of exposure indoors.

We are taking the recommended precautions and desire the safety and health of all our families and staff.  There are less children per classroom, and classrooms are not mixed throughout the day..

What you should know about the new procedures for childcare centers and parents are outlined by the WA State Department of Health’s website in their Childcare Resources and Recommendations.

A few of the general recommendations by the DOH are as follows:

General Guidance:

Do not allow children, staff, parents and guardians on-site if they:
      • Are showing signs of COVID-19.
      • Have been in close contact with someone who has confirmed or suspected COVID-19 in the last 14 days. (Health care providers and EMS workers who wear proper PPE are okay.)
      • Are at high risk due to certain health conditions.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up

      • Small groups should take turns with drop-off and pick-up times. This will help with social distancing outside the facility or in front of the facility.
      • Wash hands or use hand gel before and after signing in and out. If you can, place hand gel near sign-in station. Hand gel should be at least 60% alcohol, fragrance-free, and kept out of the reach of children.
      • Parents should use their own pen when signing in. If check-in is electronic, provide alcohol wipes that have 70% alcohol in it and clean the screens or keyboards often.
      • Suggest families have the same adult drop off and pick up the child each day.

Closure April 1-May 10:  Our desire is to provide the best care for our families, support our wonderful staff by keeping them working, and serve the community during this unsure time.  However, there are not enough families needing care in April to support these goals.  The Childcare will be closed April 1-30, 2020.  We will re-evaluate the situation later in the month and determine what we will do for May.  Additional details regarding the closure has been sent out to the childcare families – so be sure to check your email for that information.

Thank you to the many families who were willing to financially support us during this time so that our doors stayed open as long as they could.  Some parents have been asking how they can contribute in April.  If you are wanting to make a donation to the childcare in the month of April, it would be used to pay our regular bills, allow us to pay our staff sick/vacation leave they have accumulated, and help with “start-up” costs for when we reopen.  Again, this is optional and not meant to burden families during this difficult time.
