Worship Service
Sunday Service meets in-person and over Zoom
Children have the opportunity on Sunday mornings to attend children’s Sunday School at 9:30 AM, and the Celebration Service at 10:30 AM.  Kids of all ages are encouraged to participate in the main service.  We believe multi-generational corporate worship is beneficial and vital for the growth and fellowship of the family of Christ!  It is important for children to be included in worship, tithes & offerings, missions update and announcements, and for those who participate, in communion.

In this season of the church, we currently have no children’s church on the regular schedule, see below.

Children’s Church
In the past we have had a children’s program that would be dismissed after the worship, announcements, and offering part of the service, right before the sermon.  We are looking into starting back up our “DiscipleLand” program.  Right now, kids have been participating in the entire service.  We do have activity and coloring sheets and colored pencils that many will use during the sermon portion of the service, after the morning worship.  You are welcome to pick some up before the service, along with a clipboard, located on the table near the left doors into the sanctuary.

Nursery Available
Our nursery, for infants and older, begins after the morning worship segment.  We rotate the older kids as helpers to the adult volunteer.  If you do have a little one that is not used to staying in the service, we know how hard it can be to be able to focus on worship; we will gladly have your child for the whole service.  If we don’t ask you first about whether you need whole service nursery, just find Morgan Welch on Sunday morning to let her know (or Pastor).  You can also call the office during the week at (360) 373-1408 to let us know you will be there and need care.

Youth Activities
We have started scheduling youth events for our kids 5th grade and older.  Current events will be listed in the weekly bulletin.

Adults

Sunday School (All Adults & Teens)
Meets in-person
Prayer (Adults & Teens Sunday School) led by Pastor Jered meets in the Music Room behind the sanctuary.   You are welcome to bring your coffee, sit around the table, and delve into God’s Word.

Classroom Location:  The classroom meets in the room located down the hallway that goes around the sanctuary.  From the main glass door entrance, walk straight forward, past the sanctuary, into the hallway, and follow the signs to the classroom.  The classroom doors are on the left near the end of the hall.

Women
  • Special Events  We occasionally host events throughout the year, so check out the weekly bulletin for current events.  You can get a PDF of the bulletin emailed to you, just contact the office.
  • Craft Nights are starting back up September 17, 2021, starting at 6pm!  We will be meeting down in the Women’s Ministry Room, just park in the lower parking lot.  Lennie is the contact person for craft nights.
  • Annual Retreat  We encourage all the ladies to attend the PNW Alliance Women’s retreat, recently held in Cannon Beach, OR every year in March.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to hear from our Alliance Workers about what is happening throughout the world, and a time of refreshing and great fellowship.

Seniors
Meets over Zoom
All Seniors are welcome to the Seniors Small Group!  They are currently meeting weekly over Zoom on Thursdays from 10 AM to 11:30 AM.  (When they were gathering in person, they met in the Chico Alliance Church Library Lounge.)
They meet to:
1.  Share in corporate prayer for the church, church family, individuals, and personal needs.
2.  Study the Word of God; to ask questions and look for answers in His Word.
3.  Fellowship together.  Get to know each other, sharing the good and bad; and encourage and lift each other up.  We have also enjoyed two luncheons during the year and will continue with this tradition when gathering again is feasible.
